Trying to make a left hand turn from Yellowstone to a business or trying to enter Yellowstone from a business is very difficult at any time of day. I like the idea of taking out the center turn lane other than at designated intersections where a U turn would be made possible.

Needs a full on stop sign. People getting off freeway think they have their own lane to turn right into and do not yield at all.

There is currently no feasible way to lessen the congestion on each side of the DDI due to the lights at Evans/Knudsen and at Walmart. There's simply not enough to room between these lights and the freeway, and no changing of the timing of the lights would help. The only way I think you could alleviate the traffic would be to add an exit at Reservation, Siphon or Tyhee so that drivers have another option of where to enter and exit the freeway.

Absolutely horrible, unsafe intersection, no matter what direction you are traveling. Give Chubbuck another access point further north (Reservation Rd preferably) to reduce the amount of traffic that HAS to access the freeway here.

This light should be removed as well as the one just north of Common Cents, and consolidated into one. The awkward divide at this light (in the TJ Maxx parking lot) makes it difficult to maneuver from within the parking lot anyways. Also - maybe consolidating lights would help consolidate panhandlers? ;)

There are currently too many options for people to turn left when they come south over the freeway (Bullock, McD, or Walmart light), all of which are too close to the diamond interchange and cause countless accidents. Make Bullock right in/right out, and move the Walmart light to the south side of common cents to give everyone a bit more room.

As ICCU expands their campus headquarters, they could easily have twice as many employees at this location within 5 years. This will increase the strain and congestion at the diamond interchange immensely, especially during peak commuting times. Making Burnside a one-way might help so that people leaving ICCU campus aren't trying to pull off Burnside and immediately get onto the freeway. This would hopefully help with semis accessing Jacksons as well.

While I firmly believe that an exit is needed further north on Yellowstone to alleviate traffic at the diamond interchange, I don't think siphon is the place to put it. I think Tyhee or Reservation Rd would be a better location to give drivers another access point to the freeway.

Peak traffic times make this intersection frustrating when trying to turn eastbound onto Chubbuck road from the south. There really needs to be a right turning lane from Yellowstone onto E Chubbuck; this would help the flow of traffic immensely (especially in evening traffic), and I think the dollar store can afford to give up a few empty parking spaces.

12 - May 23, 2016 @ 11:30 PM

This intersection is only going to get worse as ICCU continues to grow. E Burnside needs to either be a one way eastbound, or have no left turn available when coming onto Yellowstone. It's not worth someone losing their life trying to turn left onto Yellowstone when people come flying over the overpass or off the freeway.

I know it's outside the planning zone, but since the connector may be a model for future bike plans, please avoid repeating the very sharp (nearly U-turn) turn to the connector from the AMI trail. Visibility is limited and to the make the turn requires using much of the trail, difficult if heavily used.

14 - May 16, 2016 @ 11:11 AM

Shoulder here is very difficult/unsafe to navigate by bike. Bike lane needed.

15 - May 16, 2016 @ 11:10 AM

Unsafe intersection at busy times: consider adding light.

16 - May 16, 2016 @ 11:08 AM

Light here has helped improve safety, but pavement is already crumbling. Adding a bike lane would've been great.

17 - May 16, 2016 @ 11:02 AM

From here through underpass/interchange: no shoulder for bikes, high speeds, poorly maintained so lots of potholes to avoid. Please consider adding a continuous bike lane all along this route.

18 - May 16, 2016 @ 11:00 AM

Difficult crossing during busy times because of quick left turns from Arthur onto Benton.

19 - May 16, 2016 @ 10:59 AM

Very unsafe for bikes to cross here. Pole in sidewalk at corner makes the narrow sidewalk almost unnavigable. Marked and separated and winter-maintained bike lanes would be great for commuting.

20 - May 16, 2016 @ 10:57 AM

Difficult crossing. Need more safe options along Gould and Oak.

21 - May 16, 2016 @ 10:53 AM

Bike lane disappears just as vehicle lane narrows and turns corner. Bike access to tunnel requires a sharp turn into cutout that forces bikes to slow and block cars, or bike on sidewalk from Lewis. Esp. unsafe in winter and before gravel is swept up in spring.

22 - May 16, 2016 @ 10:50 AM

Dangerous access here for bikes and peds because cars make quick right on 1st, visibility is poor, sidewalk is narrow and poorly maintained.

23 - May 13, 2016 @ 12:21 AM

I've lived in Chubbuck since 1997, never has traffic been worse since the diamond interchange went in. I knew it was a bad idea but the city clerk said "It's what they do in Utah." Who gives a crap about what they do in Utah! I now try my best to avoid Yellowstone from Chubbuck Road to Pokey limits. The late 1990s was when the economy was booming here, it's been on a downhill slide since 2000. Where's this "future growth" the Yellowstone Corridor Plan talks about? In Chubbuck traffic congestion is actually worse than in the boom times of the 1990s, precisely because of the diamond interchange. The other concern is the increasing installation of stop lights along Yellowstone in Chubbuck and Pocatello. If there is an economic boom coming then Yellowstone will become hell on Earth!

24 - May 9, 2016 @ 6:27 PM

The new interchange has made traffic on Yellowstone worse. Please go back to straight lanes where two directions of traffic can go at one time.

25 - May 8, 2016 @ 8:49 PM

The diamond interchange to access I-15 in Chubbuck has worse congestion than before, since traffic can only flow in one direction going north/south at a time. Long lights cause congestion south past Walmart and north as far as the fire station. Lights seem to be mostly synchronized, but that also means you can sit there for a long time when there is NO oncoming traffic. Nice try, but it just doesn't work to solve any traffic problems.

26 - May 6, 2016 @ 4:35 PM

This new connector is going to cause an accident and kill someone. Needs some kind of light or control.

27 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:14 AM

Traffic lights on entire corridor should be synced during rush hours. It’s fine during routine no rush hour traffic.

28 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:14 AM

Dangerous turning left out of FM

29 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:11 AM

Oak St intersection is a major barrier to north/south bicycle travel (McKinley is good to the north, 7th is good to the south but it is hard to get from McKinley to 7th)

30 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:10 AM

Short merge lane where traffic backs-up at morning and evening “rush hours”

31 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:10 AM

Significant traffic merging south wants to turn left into city offices. Traffic stops in the merge lane. Part of the reason is lack of alternative access to city offices.

32 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:09 AM

Lacking Sidewalks Merge lane conflicts w/ w s traffic from Oak St.

33 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:05 AM

Left turns are dangerous from Fred Meyer

34 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:04 AM

do away w/ center turn lanes access business thru side streets – All of Yellowstone

35 - May 6, 2016 @ 11:03 AM

Long waits for light

36 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:27 AM

Quinn Road East of Poleline; Fix intersection or shut portion of road down.

37 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:26 AM

Quinn Road East of Poleline; Fix intersection or shut portion of road down.

38 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:26 AM

Free lane @ Poleline from, Yellowstone is hard to cross – Need Signal.

39 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:24 AM

Too many lights too close together

40 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:23 AM

Difficulty turning in & out of Bullock

41 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:21 AM

Make E Burnside a One Way (East Bound_ to prevent traffic trying to cross Yellowstone.

42 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:20 AM

Traffic headed south toward the interchange sometimes is stopped as far back as the fire station. The diverging diamond did not solve the congestion problem.

43 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:20 AM

Busy intersection in town; improve access for Fire Dept.

44 - May 6, 2016 @ 10:19 AM

Fire Dept existing onto Yellowstone with traffic congestion & Fire Personnel trying to get into the station for response.

45 - May 5, 2016 @ 4:10 PM

All of Yellowstone is dangerous for Pedestrians. And heaven help you if you want to walk across the road anywhere between Alameda and Quinn. You are risking your life.

46 - May 5, 2016 @ 4:07 PM

Why does the bike route disappear here? Where is someone on a bike supposed to go when the bike lane evaporates?

47 - May 5, 2016 @ 4:05 PM

All but impossible to get out onto Alameda from any of these side streets during the day. Even one stoplight somewhere along here would help.

48 - May 5, 2016 @ 4:01 PM

Impossible to turn left from this street. And no nearby stoplight to make getting onto Yellowstone from this area any easier.

49 - May 5, 2016 @ 3:47 PM

too many access points – eliminate them

50 - May 5, 2016 @ 3:46 PM

Get rid of overhead power lines
